The legendary Floyd Mayweather Jr. continues his lucrative exhibition run this afternoon (Sat., May 21, 2022) when he takes on undefeated former sparring partner, Don Moore, who hasn’t fought since 2016, at Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Arena.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) legend, Anderson Silva, takes center stage in the co-feature. Rather than parlay his shock upset of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and destructive finish of Tito Ortiz (watch it) into a clash with a prominent figure, he’ll lace ’em up in an exhibition against UAE Warriors Lightweight champion, Bruno Machado, who’s never competed in boxing before.
The rest of the PPV main card sees former Light Heavyweight champion, Badou Jack, face the comically incompetent Hany Atiyo and former Lightweight titlist Delfine Persoon square off with unbeaten Elhem Mekhaled in the closest thing this event has to a well-matched fight.

Mayweather vs. Moore Round-by-Round Coverage:
Exhibition: Floyd Mayweather Jr vs. Don Moore
Round one: Moore looking to jab. Mayweather only moves as much as necessary. Neither man has connected yet. Halfway through. Both just jabbing from half a foot too far away. Sneaky counter uppercut by Mayweather after eating a body jab on the ropes. Moore pull counter. 10-9 Moore on activity, I guess. Again, this isn’t being scored.
Catchweight Exhibition: Anderson Silva vs. Bruno Machado
Round one: Silva’s size advantage is immediately obvious. Machado looks for the body. Jabs from Silva. Halfway through. Shoeshine from Silva inside. More quick hands. He’s clearly not trying to hurt Machado. Continuing to dominate at range in first gear. 10-9 Silva.
Round two: Yeah, this is a sparring session. Silva may be in his 40s but he could take this dude’s head off if he sat on anything. Clinch. Machado to the body. Silva backs himself to the corner halfway through. Machado 1-2. Good body shot by Silva. More body work. I guess 10-9, 20-18 Silva.
Round three: We waited 90 minutes for this. Early clinch. Silva backs him off with a combination. Still just arm punches for the most part. Machado tries to throw back halfway through. The announcers are trying to make this seem interesting, bless ’em. They trade on the ropes. 10-9, 30-27 Silva. Again, this is an exhibition. No scoring will be done.
Round four: Silva is bigger, sharper, more powerful, a better mover. He takes a bit to just run circles around Machado for a little bit. They trade on the ropes. Clinch. Silva knocks him back with a left after trading in center ring. Machado tries a combination, Silva answers to the body. Decent hook from Machado before the bell. 10-9, 40-36 Silva.
Round five: Silva just walks into the pocket and peppers Machado until he ties up. Machado tries a four-piece in return. Body shot exchange. Silva 1-2, clinch halfway through. Machado three-piece. Counter right. Clinch in the corner. Silva pushes forward and they start to trade. They get a little bit too into it and Silva clocks Machado with a right hook after the bell for a knockdown. They still gave him a count, so 10-8, 50-44 Silva.
Round six: Quick 1-2 and jab from Silva. Staring contest. Halfway through. Neither one committing to anything or getting into range. 10-9, 60-53 Silva.
Round seven: Silva just bouncing at range. Flurries fall well short. Halfway through. Machado advancing, gets jabbed in the face and falls short with his own shots. Glowing hook at the bell. 10-9, 70-62 Silva.
Round eight: Silva backs him to the corner and gets clinched. Again he backs Machado up and fires shoeshines. Machado looking to counter. Halfway through. Silva backs Machado to the corner, lets him throw a bit, then bullies him to the opposite corner to throw until the bell. 10-9, 80-71 Silva
Final result: Draw (exhibition)
